At Havoc Robotics, we are at the forefront of delivering thrilling live broadcast experiences to audiences worldwide. The National Havoc Robot League, or NHRL, is the largest and most accessible robot combat league in the world, home of the 3lb, 12lb, and 30lb World Championships hosted at the House of Havoc in South Norwalk, Connecticut. Each of our seven events are streamed to thousands of fans worldwide. Builders combine groundbreaking technology and off-the-wall ideas to amaze audiences, compete for thousands of dollars in cash prizes, and attempt to claim the coveted Golden Dumpster.
Role Overview
Havoc Robotics is seeking an experienced Producer to lead our YouTube live stream broadcasts. This role blends creative vision, technical expertise, and organizational skills to ensure that our live streams are engaging, seamless, and in line with our brand identity.

Job Duties
- Oversee the creation and organization of live content, ensuring it aligns with the brand and engages the target audience.
- Collaborate with the Director, on-air talent, and other production crew to ensure a smooth live stream process.
- Understand and navigate the YouTube live stream interface, ensuring optimal settings for broadcast quality and viewer engagement.
- Monitor live comments and viewer feedback, incorporating real-time interactions into the broadcast when appropriate.
- Address any issues that arise during the live stream, coordinating with technical teams to ensure minimal disruption.
- Review analytics and feedback post-broadcast to gauge success and areas for improvement.
- Focus on the storylines that develop throughout the tournament, and be able to cohesively tell the story through the broadcast.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Producer, specifically with YouTube live stream broadcasts.
- Strong understanding of the YouTube platform, its algorithms, and audience engagement strategies.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple elements during a live broadcast.
- Creative mindset with a passion for crafting compelling live content.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Problem-solving aptitude, especially under live broadcasting pressures.
- Able to travel to, and from South Norwalk, CT before and after broadcasts.
- Knowledge of the National Havoc Robot League and the bots/builders.
