  • Folks wishing to come Friday before the event are welcome to use our facilities all day, the team often stays late the night before while preparing for the event.
  • 50 Day is staffed M-F 10a-6p. If you want to mail your robot ahead of coming to the event that can be accommodated. We can be there to sign for it.

Flying to Norwalk

Flights to Norwalk are plentiful, but require significant transportation after landing. The closest major airports, in order, are LaGuardia, JFK, then Newark.

All of these airports are 50-90 minutes by car, or 2-3 hours via public transportation. If you are flying to the event, renting a car is strongly encouraged. All public transit routes require a significant number of stops and transfers, and will be an adventure in and of themselves. Negotiating this with robots and equipment is unlikely to be an enjoyable experience. Flying into Hartford is only recommended with car rental, public transit options are all over 4 hours.

Generally, the best airport to fly into will depend on what airline you choose to fly with.
